Frequently Asked Questions
“DO YOU PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHERS?”
No, we only offer a location for professional and amateur photographers, we are not contracted with or endorse specific photographers.
“CAN I BRING MY OWN PROPS?”
Yes! But please be respectful of the property and leave it as you found it after your session.
“CAN I CHANGE MY CLOTHES?”
Yes, there is a restroom in the barn with large mirror.
“WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?”
Our location is a working farm and the inside locations are not heated/air-conditioned. The ground is NOT level, and the grasses are left tall so they look pretty in pictures but can be an adventurous in heels. The driveways are gravel but there are no paved paths. There may be mud and wet grass after rain. We recommend you wear good walking shoes and change into the shoes you'd like for your pictures once you're set up.
“CAN I BRING MY PET?”
Yes, we welcome all members of the family, even the furry ones! Please notify us when you schedule that you'll be bringing your pet so we can have our animals secured. We do ask that all animals stay on leash and with their owner during your visit. Please be courteous and pick up after your pet to help maintain our property.
“CAN I HAVE A HORSE IN MY PHOTO?”
Absolutely! The horses may be in the pasture or corral and will probably stick their heads over the fence to say hi. You are welcome to set up your shoot near their location but due to risk of accident or injury, you may NOT sit on, ride or feed the horses while at the farm.
"IS THERE A RESTROOM AVAILABLE?"
We do offer a restroom in the lower level of the barn, please be mindful that it is a portable style toilet and sink and is not wheelchair accessible.
“WHAT OTHER ANIMALS ARE ON THE FARM?”
We have 18 chickens, 5 barn cats and a dog who also call the farm home. The cats will likely try to be part of your photo session so please be mindful of them. We will also be offering chick photo sessions in the spring.
“WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?”
There is no charge for cancellations made more than 2 weeks in advance, or due to inclement weather. If you cancel 14 days or less before your appointment date with expected good weather, you are responsible for the full charge for that cancelled session.
“WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?”
We accept cash, check (made out to Tucker Creek Farm), Venmo or PayPal. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards.
“HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?”
We accept same day appointments if we have availability. Most weekdays, it’s easy to book within a few days (or hours!) of your session! Most of the year, Saturdays book out about 2 weeks in advance, but September to December Saturdays fill up by mid-August. We are open every day except Sundays and Wednesday evenings after 6pm.
